Medals

This concept showcases British Columbia's most iconic mountain peaks, beloved by locals and memorable to visitors. It features Black Tusk, Diamond Head, The Lions, and Stawamus Chief, all surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. The mountains are arranged from the tallest to the lowest in elevation.

T-shirts

On the shirts, the peaks correspond with race distances. The tallest, Black Tusk, represents the most challenging distance — the full marathon, followed by Diamond Head for the half marathon, and so on. The silhouettes are highlighted with metallic silver ink, and thin lines ensure the fabric remains light and comfortable for exercise.

Summary

The BMO Vancouver Marathon merch is one of my all-time favorite projects — I loved seeing the emotions surrounding these items on race day. According to the post-race survey, runner satisfaction with the merchandise increased from 92% to 95% compared to the previous year. To this day, I occasionally see a runner or hiker wearing a familiar blue shirt. Feels good!
